The same burden Outkast had to carry in the early 90’s for the Atlanta movement to get going, is the same exact burden Deep Jackson is carrying for his home state of West Virginia. Deep Jackson comes from Welch Hill, West Virginia and was born October 16, 1982. Since late 2007 he has been generating a web buzz leading to more than a few labels starting to hone in and express their interest. He has shared the same stage as T-Pain, Rich Boy, and Bobby Valentino just to name a few. His W.F.W.U. (Who F*ckin’ Wit Us)/Deep Jackson Music Company label consists of his longtime friend of 20 plus years Mayne Feature the engineer/producer, Deadly Ed Lee to whom he refers to as the new “Rick Rubin” also an incredible producer, Herb Spliff the purest lyricist of the new generation, and “O” to whom he refers to simply as the “Utility Man”, the man of many hats.

Deep stresses that you are only as good as the team you have around you and nobody can be in business and not think that. He describes his style as always evolving and always challenging himself to not become complacent. He says being from West Virginia will forever keep him grounded because the conditions there are rough but you gain a sense of resiliency. He dropped his classic debut album titled, “Sense Of Urgency” on April 20, 2009 on Itunes, Amazon, and CDBaby just to name a couple of online sites. His single, “Hot Girls” is starting to pick up major momentum across the country. He says fans tell him all of the time that they cannot believe he isn’t a household name yet, but if he continues at the rate that he is on, I’m sure all of that is sure to change.
